The room was decorated beautifully and had the feeling of an old Chicago speakeasy.
The day of the gig we had a few hours to walk around the city. We tried to go to as many places as time would allow. Below are a few of the photos I was able to capture with my phone:
We were there on Columbus Day, which also happened to be the day after October 10, 2010 and the Chicago Marathon. The city was buzzing! This is a fun picture to let us always remember when we were there.
A great view of the city
This is Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park. It is one of the largest fountains in the world. The four sea horses on the sides represent the four states that touch Lake Michigan: Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan.
Not exactly sure what this is, but it is very cool.

This is a picture of the Millennium Park Amphitheater. It seats up to 7000 people and has one of the most sophisticated sound systems of any outdoor arena. The city holds free concerts here regularly.

What a great experience! My friend is originally from Chicago, and he says if you are even a remote sports fan - you'd have to check out a Bears, Bulls, or Blackhawks game - the fans are so passionate and into it!
I will be in Chicago Nov 18th through the weekend. Any chance we overlap?
If you can, visit some of the great Chicago museums! Also, a segway tour is super fun or the boat architecture tour. There also happens to be a "mobster" tour of some kind that I heard is fun, but I haven't tried that one. :)
